Holmes and I investigated a very strange case of theft of busts of Napoleon, there didn’t seem to be any motive but when a man was murdered at the scene of one of the thefts, the case took a sinister turn. One of the strangest aspects of the case was that the busts were smashed not very far from where they were stolen.
Holmes pointed to the street lamp above our heads.
“He could see what he was doing here and he could not there. That was his reason.”
The artefact we chose from this story was a bust of Napoleon as that was what the case was about.
